Hydrostatics – Halon Gas

We provide maintenance, repairs, general overhauls of aircraft cylinders and extinguishers, as well as cylinder refills with Nitrogen, Helium, CO2, and Halons 1211 and 1301.

Halon gas is a chemical compound widely used as an extinguishing agent for suppressing fires without leaving any residue. The most commonly used types are Halon 1211 and Halon 1301. However, due to its ozone-depleting properties, its production was prohibited under the Montreal Protocol.

In Brazil, as in other countries that have signed the protocol, companies accredited by IBAMA and CETESB are authorised to receive and recycle these gases to meet fire protection needs, as no substitute with equivalent efficiency has been developed.
