About the Opportunity:

Modirum | Gespi is launching a strategic initiative to adapt our established technologies for the dynamic UAV Defence sector. We are building a dedicated development team and seek a visionary Product Owner to guide the product direction. You will be the crucial link between our defence customers, market needs, and the development teams, ensuring we deliver solutions that provide maximum value and meet stringent industry requirements.

Your Role in the Team:

As the Product Owner, you are the champion for the product vision within our UAV Defence initiative. You will:

• Define and clearly articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on defence customer needs, market analysis, and business objectives.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, translating high-level requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development teams (AI, UX, Backend, Hardware).
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Lead, Solution Architect, UX Designers, and development leads to ensure alignment and feasibility.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding product requirements, progress, and priorities.
• Engage with potential customers and end-users in the defence sector to gather feedback and validate product direction.
• Make informed decisions to maximize the value delivered by the development team’s output.
• Work closely with the development teams during sprints, clarifying requirements and accepting completed work.
• Ensure the final product meets the specific needs and compliance standards of the UAV Defence market

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally in a B2B or enterprise software environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and product lifecycle management.
• Excellent ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize requirements from various sources.
• Experience creating and managing product backlogs and writing clear user stories.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize effectively.
• Experience working closely with engineering, sales and product teams

Bonus Points:

• Experience in the Defence, Aerospace, or related government/regulated industries.
• Familiarity with UAV systems, command and control software, or situational awareness platforms.
• Technical background or strong understanding of software development concepts.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.
