GDU & DDU – Gunner and Driver Display Units

The Gunner Display Unit (GDU) and the Driver Display Unit (DDU) provide specific information to the howitzer’s gunner and driver, facilitating the success of the operation. The GDU and DDU have identical hardware configurations and provide mission-specific information based on the corresponding software. The small segmented high-resolution liquid crystal displays (LCD) of 5 × 4 inches can be customized. The GDU provides information to the gunner to enable precise aiming of the cannon through graphical and numerical displays, while the DDU assists the driver in orienting the howitzer to the required Center of Arc (COA) when in the firing position.
