The Guapará is a RCWS (Remote Controlled Weapon Station) that enables operators to remotely control a 7.62 mm or 5.56 mm machine gun using an advanced camera system. It provides a safe and secure platform for selecting and engaging targets, allowing shooters to lock onto a target’s position and open fire with precision.
Originally developed for military boats, the Guapará system can also be customised for other vehicles, such as light armoured trucks and helicopters.
The Guapará RCWS allows light machine guns to be operated from a safe and protected location through its stabilised camera system, which locks onto targets and stabilises them across two axes for accurate firing.
The system incorporates a range of sensors, including video cameras (available in standard, night vision, and thermal configurations), radars, and other detection equipment, enabling operators to monitor the environment around the weapon system effectively.
